Re: Possible visit to Cotopaxi in the Ecuador

Introduction

The Cotopaxi is a bigger volcano in the Andes Mountains, located in the south of the Cotopaxi province, Ecuador, South America. Cotopaxi has height from a highland plain of about 3,800 meters.


Background

In the history Cotopaxi means "Neck of the Moon", but this is unproven. It was honored as a "Sacred Mountain”, in the prehistory the Cotopaxi is considerate one the Religion Mountains, in this volcano the Incas and Quitus – caras offered different products with sacrifice, the PAPA BLANCO is one name of volcano Cotopaxi, according to the legends the PAPA BLANCO is the father the ILINISAS located very close.

Attractions

The principal attraction in the Cotopaxi province is the volcano, but exist different attractions, in the regions exist native forest for example: pumamaqui, gencianas, capulí, licopodios, pucunero, mortiño, valeriana, pino, orejas de conejo, romerillo, cacho de venado, quishuar, and others.

The volcano is located in the Cotopaxi national park, the park has one lagoon, and the name is Limpiopungo

The native animals and plants are representing the country. For example the animal representative in my country is the condor, el condor express wisdom and strength.

And plant is the almoadillas, the plant most beautiful in the regions.
